everwhere!!!! ..All grids, wires and wire mods clean and fairly fresh! Cleaned the paper path, and sensors ,new cleaning blade and vacuumed the black fuzzy rollers......magenta spitting shows back up after 10 or so sheets!! It is everywhere below the m housing ,including the paper LOL
    service call placed
    any guesses? I
will let you know what the problem was once the tech figures it out

Sounds like donor to me as well.

Also check out your cleaning? One time a tech left my pre clean dicor out and it gave me all kinds of magenta issues. Over toning mostly. It only happened after the first 5 sheets though because of the belt cycle lol.

Sorry, ignore my previous post. I was thinking donor, as in a fuser oil donor roller....

Hey how do you tell if a donor roll is bad? My spitting is back, I took apart the station just to have a look..

Pull it out and scrub the **** out of both with a green pad and chemical to help strip the wax build up on them. Dry them off THOROUGHLY before putting them back in.

No, sorry. I was talking about the Donor rolls in the developer assys. If you're having spitting problems, check toner concentration and try lowering by .5 increments. Check the purge setting, drop tube and clean out the manifold on the developer station giving you the problem. Also check to make sure there are no leaks in toner vacuum hoses going to the developer assy..

cool. I havent messed with those donors since I first came over here...is cleaning them a regular thing? Ive not heard of a "wax build up" on them.

so with my spitting, thats what I did. Took them out scrubbed em, threw them back in. but back in wrong LOL. I had a service call placed...I had to leave ASAP to coach my little ones' soccer practice... but came in next day, with note on Igen, "ran 951 adjusted Magenta TC its running"

do you think cleaning was more important, or was i the adjustment/calibration?

If so, seems like this should be a regular regimen sorta thing...

Something that dries fairly quickly and leaves no residue.

Cleaning isn't a regular thing but when you start seeing residue on the ends that would be the time to clean them. The toner concentration adjustment was what probably took care of your issue.

iGen3 it used to be required on the Yellow rolls only due to a film build up. iGen4 it is not needed
