I'm trying to figure out what the maximum printable area is on a press sheet. According to Xerox the maximum sheets 14.33 x 26". Is anyone printing on this size press sheet? Can you actually print reliably out to the edge?

I'm looking to print books and trying to determine maximum number of pages up on a given press sheet, including all necessary trim marks, bleeds and grind offs.

    For example:
I want to print a 6.25 x 7" book, I think i can run it 6 up on a 14.33 x 22.5" sheet but can i print a 6.75 x 7" 6up. Or what would be the maximum trim size of a book i could print 6 up on a 14.33 x 22.5" sheet taking into consideration that i need a .125" grind, .125 bleed all the way around and room for trim marks?

    Anyone help me out?

On my igen4. In my experience, I find only about .06" unprintable lead edge. crosstrack sometimes goes all the way to edge. And that's adjustable in diagnostics, but could cause cleaning problems if print falls off the edge.

Also, If there any edge imperfections on the paper it will not print well AT ALL.

Most xerox Ive used, with lasers...have no margin troubles. LED writer printers do.

I think I could make what youre describing happen on 14.33x22.5 without much trouble. :) though I'm limited to 20.5" on mine. :(
