We are new to a used iGen 3 110. We are having a problem with it scrapping and pulling toner off of 100# Gloss Text. Does not do the same to heavier card stock or too uncoated lighter weight stock. Any suggestions?

We have been using Kelly Digital, great success on smaller Xerox's and Konica's. Any recommendations?

Kind of odd for that to happen to a light weight stock at all, even if it is glossy. Do you use other weights of the Kelly brand with any success?

For some reason I can't shake the idea that your fuser contact arc might be a bit loose, so it's not adhering the toner to the lighter coated stock well.

Or Kelly's coating might just not be compatible with iGens.

That's what it is Cargo. I talked with him and had him work on the contact arc

We followed some direction yesterday from Milo and at this time it appears to have resolved the issue. Thank you for your comments and support.

    Cargo,

Worked for only a couple of hundred sheets. Set the adjustment using the dusting. That is good, but still having a build up on the fuser roll on text weight, any other thoughts?

    Swifty,

Changed paper and have made the arc adjustment. Marks return after a couple of hundred sheets. Any other thoughts?

We are noticing fuser fluid on one side of the roller, about 4 inches in width, no marks on that side very dry on the other and marks could this be part of the issue?

Take the meter roll out and check the meter roll bearings and meter blade. You may as well replace both rollers, meter blade and wick whilst it's out.

Also check the ex heat roll bearings are good and the housings are still in one piece - although this usually shows up as under temperature during a run if they are shot

Also check that the pressure roll is ok as well
