I assure you Mr. Wilson this is no joke. My salesman has notified me in person all Igen3's are being taken offline and out of service. Wether you own or lease they will no longer be supported by Service or Xerox.

Do what we did and say goodbye to Xerox!! they did this on our B+W nuvera 120...now we have a Ricoh
and with the Igen4 ,xerox is now refusing to take CC payment...even though our contract says we can pay by CC .....so when the lease is up,the igen4 is out the door and we will no longer continue to be a full xerox shop after 25 plus years !!!!!!!..The direction Xerox his going does not look good!!!!!......

We may have to look at other supply companies. Any suggestions? It's really too bad, I think Xerox is poised to be (if not already) the new digital benchmark in the printing industry, but you can't put a gun to your customers head and expect them to be happy about it.

I'm serious about supporting the iGens. If you have any questions just PM me and I'll explain.

yep this happens. And its not all Xerox-centric. machines get old and become a liability. Kodak did this to us. One of our digimasters had a defunct UI on it. and they flat out told us "if it dies, it's on you" LOL we ultimately replaced it after living dangerously for a year with some close calls.

I just scored a TINY side gig working on a local small town's HP color copier temporarily. Their service was discontinuing it. I was there for the soccer association meeting, and they couldn't copy team rosters. Had them order a new drum, voila! Told them to call me if they need help before they want to replace it.

    GOOD LUCK.

You could get trained as an "operator technician" with Xerox XPP training for iGen3.

My question is what about toner, will they stop making toner for the igen 3. Even if you can have someone do your service if you can't buy toner for the machine you're in trouble.

I doubt they will stop. They still sell toner for the Docutech line and they stopped selling them long ago.
