Hi guys, i have like 100K sheets to print, and after every file that is about 334 sheets that are sent to the stacker, the igen just pauses, and then starts again like 2 mins later. i need every minute i can get, so why the f does it pause all the time. It really annoys me... it's always done it no matter what kind of job or paper. my old 3 and freeflow used to go straight into the next job no matter what. I don't know why but i've always thought it was fiery's pause not the 150 but i don't know why i get that feeling.

sorry for the rant, any ideas?

    thanks in advance.

is your paper heavy coated stock?

if so, the cutoff is around 190-210, where the machine has extra warmup time. and yes, its annoying. i forgot the exact number.

assuming its not incredibly high quality and resolution, just lie to the substrate setting, and say its lighter than that. lol that's what I do.

or, is the pause coming from the front end? in which case.... no idea really.

no nothing to do with different stocks, as in i print all variable data, in sets of about 1k A4's per file either single sided or double sided. each job is say 10k. so 10 files exactly the same setup, same stock, 3 up on 320x660mm 100gsm smooth uncoated. Then i set it to do 2 or 3 files to the stacker, but it pauses for 30 secs to a min between files. and usually its a low coverage letter with colour letterhead or carrier.

so im not sure why its pausing, but this is kind of why my spidey senses are saying its the Fiery Rip rather than the engine. but i could be wrong.

anyone know of any logs i could look at to see what's happening?

    Hi
Did you ever get to the bottom of this problem as I'm experiencing the same ?
I'm separating sets with a coloured slip sheet that have the same media attributes as the job sheets.
    Cycles down between every set.

Could be a spooling issue with Fiery?
