so, I notice, the "add carrier" prompt...

grab a box, head to igen. get a phone call. Phone up to my ear, a'la stay at home mom cooking dinner, I THEN open the bottle and start pouring.

    only...the powder...its yellow.

    what in the....

Welp. there had been a bottle of yellow developer sitting on the back of the igen. Look over and see the unopened carrier bottle by the phone base

    and you guessed it...

    SON OF A NUTCRACKER! LOLOLOLOLOL

THough part of me wanted to see how horrible prints would be just because....I Stopped immediately, figuring the less to clean the better.

seriously, how screwed am I? im guessing vac out the carrier hopper, refill , then go from there?

It'll be fine. The amount pushed into the tanks will get flooded with the correct toner so hide the yellow toner. Carrier is dev anyway without the toner (usually around 4% in a new bottle of dev)

Thanks Mark, but you were 5 minutes too late :) I was SORT OF thinking that....but wasnt sure.

At first it looked a pain... But, It is pretty simple to take apart the lid. bunch of screws, but nothing fancy. However, the screws on the lid were applied by Hercules.

I was able to only vac the top inch or so, then wipe the sides. it should be ok. I figure I got about a cup or so into the hopper before my dumba$$ looked down and saw the yellow :)

    AND:

    CISCO.

tell me you are kidding? I feel slightly better about myself, but Im shocked thinking of the cleanup of that. LOL

LOL, I thought I was the only nut around here.....I agree with peels, no service call , already feel bad enough for doing such a thing, don't need a service tech to rub it in.
