came back to a dead battery backup, and machine off. Psp(new software Monday) is fine. Freeflow is shot. Boots to "printer initializing" psp sees it, thinks its ready.... but it never comes up...the file manager lower portion never comes on. been through quite a few attempts at repair, no luck. i have a Dell Freeflow PC. two network cables on back, one for IGEN, one for external network, which is green light. Igen cable shows orange light, and slow blink. Prob has to be in there, i'd think? something not communicating, but what? working with xerox right now..... Spoke to one of the Freeflow gurus again. they are stumped at the moment.
jury is still deliberating. tech is in here, but perplexed. looks like scrape and reload. its weird. got it to where they "communicate" psp recognizes dfe. when you go from pause to ready. and vice-versa. but it wont go past printer initialization, and bring up file management lower section. gotta be like a corrupt or missing file somewhere. hope they fix it today.
printer initializing You might want the tech to look at bad sectors on the hard drive as possible culprit.
thanks Milo, this has my vote(as well as jeff, the Tech). but Xerox has their way of doing things. Want him to reload software, but have doubts....
got it back up... lost everything. queues and all. thats ok, it sucks, but ive expected this day. sorta looking forward to a clean slate. just not now lol
