Not sure if this is a network issue or a Solaris issue, but the other week my Freeflow Server stopped being able to view the windows file share we have set up to load the jobs. Now I have to copy files to a flash key and upload them manually. It's a real pain. Any ideas on what the cause is? As far as I know, nothing has changed network or server wise. I can't even view the share I need from the network places shortcut on the desktop.

Do you have the Windows Network (SMB) icon in your Network Places folder?

On a side note, does anyone know the password to the freeflow super user?

Sent you a PM with the password. It hasn't changed in 5 decades, but still probably shouldn't post it out in the open. :p

Unfortunately I'm drawing a blank on your networking issue. Windows shares can be so varied and I'm not quite as adept with Xerox's barebones Unix as I am with Linux systems...

I had this happening. Igen would just disappear from the network randomly. I had to use a thumb drive to transfer files.

Reboot with autorepair would get me by sometimes. Then a software reload, followed by subsequent update, i haven't had that trouble since.

Supposedly, it was corrupt files in memory. Also making my backup disc worthless. so with reload, I lost all my queues and settings. TWICE.

Im actually still digging out of that hole slowly.
