I clean the fuser roll, pressure roll, the steel rolls, the smaller set of black rolls, the fuser web replaced in case and all the rollers between area 5,6,7. The line can be easily wiped off all the sufaces and then the first copy out is clean but then immediately comes back. It is as if something is smeering the fuser oil right before it fuses.

agreed^ or just gunk in the blade. possible buildup on metering roller?

any chance this is thick, glossy, and/or duplex? oil can also travel around and get on tons of rollers if so.

clean the fuser pickers and vacuum belts too. see if that helps too.

Found a huge gunk piece under the pressure roll on the left side/bottom. I removed it and line got waayyyy lighter but left an impression on the rolls, so here is hoping to it working it's way out after a few thousand prints.

It was the blade and rubber seal/cover in the lower left steel roll in the fuser assembly. Cleaned the tray and the blade all up. Never had smoother copies.
