    "fuser undertemp inboard during print"

what would cause that? And quickest way around it?

I cleaned all the sensors already, and Im leaving it run. Just thought id throw this out there for the morning tomorrow if/when it comes back. :) Maybe Ill get a jump on it....

    thanks!

Swap the thermistors on the fuser roll then run. If the fault moves to fuser undertemp outboard, then bad thermistor.

log in as internal..click component control under e6miop in diagnostics..look for fuser lamps..temp will be disabled then exit diagnostics..this fault usually happens when u put a new heat roller when the press has already warmed up.

The error DID NOT follow the swap. So i put in the "nice" fuser I have been keeping. Hope that helps

Caignop, I just caught on to what you meant...different problem. This one is easily reset, and keeps happening during print.

I did see some NVM values for the thermistor settings.. but dont feel comfortable messing with that without guidance

You might try to watch the temps while in non intrusive diagnostics. Log into diagnostics and go to fuser voltage/temp tab and print while watching the temp on your fuser, pressure, external rolls and metering roll. Don't select intrusive and diags will stay up while your job is printing.
It could be the solid state relay that controls the fuser run control. I had a similar problem recently but it was the standby temp control relay that wouldn't shut off.

my bad..I missed that part about the fault happening during print..could bad thermastors on X rollers or fuser roll, bad lamps, or the connections are burnt

I had this problem once... but it was the lamp/rod in the fuser roll that went south not the thermisters....

    thanks gents!

Always make sure you put a little of the Xerox conductive/ high temp grease in the heat rod connectors so they don't char or break apart after being around all the heat.
