My company is considering a Versant 2100 but we are being told that images can only be sized one way. In other words. There is no X and Y independent sizing options. Any change to one will affect the other.

Can anyone confirm or refute this? It sounds....not right.

    Thanks

On the fiery without any additional packages that would be correct.

I may be wrong but I think either the impose or graphics packages would give you the option on the server.

What has you resizing on the server?

Sorry. I meant to point out that the resizing I am talking about is not at the Fiery (or creospire in our case) but at the printer's control panel. If you go into the tools there you can make adjustments to the prints and that is where you can size independently along the x and y axis.

I'm not familiar with the user interface on the 2100 but I do know that more and more they're not bothering to program the features into the off the glass settings. Things that used to be easy at the machine are now scan, edit in Adobe CC, print... :(

Ahh, that might explain why they don't. Thanks for the info. I just won't count of it having that function.
