    Hi,
I have a Xerox C75 color Press, just recently we have had supply problems and have had to look else where for a supply of toner cartridges. The codes are normally 006R01383, 84, 85 and 86 but we were supplied cartridges with the codes 006R01375, 76, 77, 78 both come in the same box and both are for the C75 but when I plug in the cartridges ending in 75, 76, 77, 78 they are not recognized. I understand that there is a PIN that locks or unlocks a "supply plan". My question is can I obtain a new PIN. I have not had much help from Xerox.

75,76,77, and 78 are Metered toner, the 83,84,85, and 86 are Sold toner. Typically when they are taken off contract they are changed to Sold, unless it's "Hot" then you may me screwed. Xerox will require a serial # when acquiring a pin. Stick with the 80's toner if you can find it.

Furthermore the NVM values for the toner type are "read only."

    Good Luck

Not sure if it works in the c75 but in others there is a little chip near the dispense end of the toner cartridge that you can remove from an old cartridge and replace / slide into a new cartridge to trick the machine.

Good idea, you can get them locally or if you want to purchase a lot get them directly from China.
