    Hi,

I am from India and would appreciate your valuable suggestion in the matter. Our Xerox dealer offered me a new Xerox 7525 printer which supports 300gsm paper for 8500 US$, with a per copy contract of 0.19 US$ up to 500,000 copies or 5year whichever is earlier. We are charging about 0.4 US$ per SRA3 page in India and the price per page reduce according to increase in copies up to 0.3 US$ max. ie, nearly 50% of the percopy cost is given to xerox for supplies (excluding paper cost 0.06$ per card) ,spares and service and in five years they get almost 10 times the value of machine with them.

Is the same system prevailing in your country also. Is this rate contract feasible in profit wise(surely there are factors like power charge, rent, employee remuneration etc. and considering them moderate)

I have another offer for bizhub C220 for us$5150 and with toner cost of 160$ per color (with out click contract). Suggestions from users with two of these machines will be more valuable.

Please note that almost 80% of works will be in full color bleed works. Thanks in advance for your comments.

buy without contract, expect big bills when you need new drums or machine to be fixed. i wouldnt get any digital machine without a contact. yes you have to pay per click but believe me its worth it if you get the right price

We had a Xerox WorkCentre 7335 under contract. We had enrolled used machine (it had 12,000 pages on it at the time) and requested no commitment service contract, meaning that we did not commit to make any minimums. Both of these conditions - the fact that machine used and they did not sell it to us directly and commitment free contract make it more expensive. We were paying 11c per color and 2 cents per b/w click any size with toner, parts and service all included. It is common to pay less than 10c - as little as 7-8 cents if you buy a new machine. Come to think about it - If you plan to actually print whole 500,000 clicks it will be profitable for me to actually print it for you here in USA assuming that paper will obviously cost extra :) I understand that shipping will be a deal breaker but I am just saying... I think it is a complete rip off especially where their overhead is significantly less than here in USA! There is no way the rent is higher, absolutely no way pay roll expanses are higher (what do tech and other team players get in India? 300-500 USD per month? compare here in USA at very least 700-800 per week working for Xerox) I think you need to start your own "Occupy Delhi" like we have "Occupy Wall street" and start it by Xerox India headquarters as a sample of corporate greed.
