Thread: Xerox Phaser 7760 printing problem

I have a problem with my phaser.
Today i turned it on and started printing and i started getting dirty prints.
Paper comes out with a grainy grayish black spotted tone where there isn't supposed to be anything but blank white. Also i get a thin grayish black line and pictures come out with less quality...

the gray/black tone that comes out where there's not supposed to be anything can't be seen on this photo as it isn't that intense. But when you take the paper and look at it it looks like dirt. The line that appears on the prints can clearly be seen on the picture.

If this were a bigger machine I'd look at the drum cleaning blade. Are you running xerox consumables or non-oem?

i'm using a third party toner
could this maybe be related to a computer virus or something?
i printed some other work using a different software and it didn't have any problems. I then tried to print the work that had problems again and there was no change, it still had the dirty look and the black line...

No I don't think this is anything to do with your computer or a computer virus.

I think the toner is not being cleaned properly from the drum. I think the problem depends what is on the sheet (where the toner is and is not). If in doubt print to a pdf using something like cute pdf writer and then print the pdf from acrobat.

i switched the drums but its still the same...
I'll pull out the developer today to see if there's something wrong there...

pustao sam ga samo iz adobe acrobata
tri dana pre nego se to pochelo deshavati odshtampao sam oko 2000 listova iz istog fajla koristeci taj isti akrobat, posle sam josh neshto radio i onda me zvao taj lik shto sam mu radio da doshtampam josh neshto primeraka i onda je pochelo da se deshava to...
malopre sam ga rasklopio i izvukao napolje developer i primetio da je folijica na valjku izguzhvana i malo pocepana i da je developer sav zaprljan prahom (verovatno izletje prah otuda) tako da mogutje da to pravi probleme... sad sam je ispravljao i nameshtao ali neverujem da tje od toga neshto biti... verovatno tju opet morati da pljunem 100e serviserima
pre ovog sam imao problema sa drugim developerom... zgrushao se materijal i zaglavio pa nije hvatao toner na tom mestu... no to sam video kako se regulishe, a ovo nem pojma shta da mu radim...
satju isprobam opet da vidim da li je ispravljanje i nameshtanje te folijice upalilo ali nekako sam skeptichan...

joks... nazvao sam servisera... treba dodje u ponedeljak... pa tje vidim shta tje kazhe i uradi...

vidim da sam punis tonere, kao i ja uostalom. Gde ih nabavljas (ako nije tajna), i po kojoj ceni. Ja sam ih uzimao iz Amerike sa sajta www.dubber-toner.com, kostaju 325usd+transport+porez+carina, i za sad su ok (idu sa reset chipovima). Video sam na net-u da ima dosta jeftinijih image drum-ova (cca 185usd), al neznam jesu ok. Jesi imao neka iskustva sa ovim? Na kolko tonera prosecno menjas drum-ove? Moji su pokazivali da imaju jos dosta al su poceli da zezaju, pustaju neke tackice, pa cak i linije. KAd mi jedan to radio, stavio sam ga na zutu boju i prolazilo je, al su sad poceli tri da zezaju, a cudi me da se to desava, a kaze da imaju jos oko 8.000-10.000 otisaka? Tolko za sada, pozdrav
