We just picked up a DC250 from a print shop that was moving and getting a new machine. After transport, the machine printed and copied both black and white and color just fine. After a few dozen prints, it started printing very faint. All toners and supplies are all good. I even swapped out the entire drum/developer drawer with our xerox 7655 and it still does not change the results. This has got to be a simple issue that I am overlooking. We need to get this machine up and running very soon! Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

First step is to check if same faint print is on IBT too.

The faint print is happening no matter if it is a copy, a print send from computer, or internal test pages or status pages.

He's asking you to check the IBT belt to see if the image is faint.

    I didn't understand that, sorry.
How do I check that? When I pull out the IBT, what am I looking for exactly?
And the IBT shows good in supplies, so why would that be the culprit?
I appreciate the help guys! This has been very frustrating!

Before the image is transfered to paper it is on the belt. You must stop the machine right at the moment the paper start from tray. Then pull out the IBT and check how the image looks.

What do I do next if the image is good or if it is faint?
    What about the ground strap?

On another note, the where the toner feeds down into the chute to the drum/image drawer, the yellow is full and overflowing and the other colors appear empty. Any ideas on what is going on there?

Should appear empty. Something is wrong with the Y. Could be the toner dispenser sensor. It's located at the bottom of the chute. It may be bad.

For the IBT remove the two screws.

    Found it!

    Thanks guys!
You got me going down the right track. Image was on IBT just fine. Found a lot of toner all over inside and found a connector that had come loose. Cleaned and plugged connector back on. Then everything worked great!! The connector was on the back of the drawer that has the fuser in it.

    Hey,
Does anyone have some developer or developer unit for a workcentre pro 55 or 255 for sale?
