Same issue with our DC242 but we got lucky in the end and they finally sent me two of each colour even though they promised to send me 4 blacks
We were told at least one color was on backorder the last two months we ordered for our 242 in the US, but they came through within 10 days still so we didn't have any downtime thankfully as that would be a make or break for us. Fingers crossed that whatever supply chain issue is causing this gets worked out quickly. Keep us posted.
Jeff here in the UK I was talking to my rep as I am not with a concessionaire and he was telling me they are actually short supplied at present on all consumables, dont know why this is. I have realised Xerox are cutting back on a lot of stuff for example, they only send you out two toners in one box whereas before theyd send two separate boxes. Everything seems to be truncated
I'm all for the packaging efficiency -- one thing I remarked when going from canon to xerox is that the packaging (and shipping) was a lot more efficient just looking at it.The canons use these nice white printed oversize boxes with end spacers and then plastic bags inside that and things to pull off the cartridges each time they're inserted. Great design from a design standpoint as probably they are never damaged in there. But it generates a huge pile of trash discarding all that packaging not to mention the extra shipping costs of warehousing all that, etc. I like the fact that the xerox are sent in small, compact, cheap boxes as I see it coming off my bottom line. I haven't had one damaged yet, so I think it's fine. Frankly, I always wondered with canon why they didn't multi-pack the toner cartridges for my machine - it always seemed like they were sending the toners in such nice boxes to justify the price to those few retail customers who didn't have contracts.
Hope the issues at hand are just transient though as the supply chain in terms of getting needed toner is absolutely critical (goes without saying obviously.) Keep us posted.
Yeh, there is defo a nationwide shortage in consumable however i hate the constant lies by Xerox. They keep blaming the couriers for not deliverring yet the couriers (in my case same guy all the time) say they havent even been given anything to deliver.
But I hope its sorted soon even though ive got a good stock of 2s and 3s in each colours
Btw Jeff, could you pls have a look at your PM
Does anyone know where xerox, konica, ricoh, and/or canon actually manufacture their toners?
I've been having trouble getting Black toner for the 700 also. We've waited for 2 weeks and pleaded with Xerox customer service to send us a couple, which they did. We just got our 700 in Sept. and it has been a constant problem.
Are people's problems with the xerox toner shortage solved now?
I know there was quite an outcry over printers with no toner in December, but is everyone else pretty much sorted now in March?

We didnt get hit by the original shortage but we are now.
1 machine just out and the other to follow early next week. Some toners have been delivered but if 1 colour runs out then the other 3 are pretty much pointless
Is anyone else having problems again ? Has anyone heard anything from reps, techs etc ?
