How to Access Service Mode on a Workcentre 6605

Hi

I have a workcentre 6605 that is making a grinding noise when it prints. I've been told I can go into the service mode and then test out all the components and work out which one it is that needs replacing.

I've tried
# + * and 6789
and 0 for access mode but none of these seem to work.

Does anyone

 

try 0 for 6 sec then start same pass

 

just tried that but no joy. Tried this during boot and after the machine was up but all that happened was when I pressed the start button it started to do a scan.

Tried from the info menu and the home menu and still no joy

 

You have to keep holding 0 when you press start...
