COLOR Problem DC250 (incl.PIC)

Hi, I have this problem with my DC250, it keeps printing these magenta stripes all the time, is the problem with the drum, do I have to buy a new one, or the problem is somethin else, please if you can help, before buying a new drum, cuz it costs quite expensive. Thank you.

 

126mm is the interval for colour drum module problems so looks like it is the drum module (188mm is the Black Drum FYI). The developer tank gives a frequency of approx 36mm. Swap the drum module over with the yellow or cyan and see if the PQ moves to that colour

Hey MarkD, thank for the reply, I changed the magenta drum with the yellow drum, is it safe to print that way, I mean does it cause any damage to the drum or any other part of the printer, because it prints great quality. I dont know are the drums specific for the colors, can you tell me thanks a lot.

 

It is fine to swap drum modules between colours. It is common practice when diagnosing problems They are all the same. Only black is different as it is larger

I tried both drums, the yellow and blue drum, but after a while it began the same problem but with the blue color and the yellow color, so i guess after all I have to get a new one,

You might have an issue with the waste toner tube. The magenta may be clogged and thats why you are getting streaks showing up on the other drums while they are in the magenta location

 

Yeah Milo, I think his problem had traveled along with a drum swap so most likely afropro has a bad drum...

 

The drums are very sensitive to light. Also charge roll inside the drum may be dirty

 

Yeah, adriansto, you're right drums are sensitive to light but despite the fact that his problem - failed drum cleaning blade, best way to change the drums as a cartridge not to rebuilt it.
