    Didde M1000 question

Can anyone tell me if there is a recommended thickness of concrete to have to place a press like this on? I know when we built our place we had to have thicker pads where our sheetfed presses are. Thanks

Up to 8 colors and running 1000 fpm, should be safe with 4-5 inches.

I have been selling Didde presses since 1975 and have had them installed in some of the most unusual circumstances including on a ship and in a water filled room {floating}. It is a give that rebar would be used. Any contractor would know that but 4-5" has never been an issue unless there are extenuating circumstances. Best suggestion would be to have a qualified structural engineer inspect prior to laying concrete. additionally, the Didde press is designed with a v-shaped substructure {base} this drives the energy along the length of the press and distributes force proportionally so that it is not concentrated on any specific component.
