Oversized High Capacity Feeder for Xerox 240

I wondering about how well these oversized high capacity feeders work and if they are worth buying as we run a lot of 12 x 18 - 100lb gloss text and 10-12pt coated cover stock.. anybody have one for sale..

On our 242, there is no comparison between the oversize high capacity feeder and the rest of the trays. Stocks feed better from the OHCF, it's really convenient to be able to load ~2000 sheets at once, and most importantly the registration is noticeably better. Out of 1.2 million prints so far on our 242, I've probably put less than 1000 on all the other drawers and tray 5 combined which I only use for 8.5x11 letters and miscellaneous few-print jobs. Anything of any size I run from the OHCF. Once when I needed and didn't have a new rubber pickup wheel I tried running the same job from trays 1 and 2 and it was a big difference (not good in comparison.) Get the OHCF if you can afford it.

 

Hi Jeff: appreciate the insight..so 100lb gloss text feeds well from it? .. we just did 18,000 through the bypass... crazy stuff... also what is a 242 .. is that a newer version than the 240 we have. Take care..
