    Hi there,

I am new to the forums, and was hoping someone had run into an issue like this before and could help me find a solution.

I'm working on a Ricoh SPC410DN and while the black and white prints flawlessly, the moment something in color is printed it coats the page in Cyan leaving a solid light blue/cyan background in addition to the image I was trying to print.

I have went through and cleaned the machine so I know all sensors and laser slit glass is clear. I replaced the cyan drum/developer unit with no effect. It will not allow me to run either color calibration or registration from the user menu or SP mode. I called our oh so friendly Ricoh tech support, and the only suggestion they could give me was to replace both Yellow and Magenta drums as well.

The only thing left I can think of is that something isn't grounding properly, but I have been through the machine checking the grounds and connections several times. I'm at a loss and could use some help if anyone else has had a similar issue.

    Thanks!

Sounds like you have your fiery set up to print in Absolute Color-metric, Change to Relative Color-metric for best RGB color translation. OR use Photographic for more saturation of color. Let me know how this turns out.

Thanks for the heads up, but I managed to solve the issue. The driver board for the cyan laser somehow got fried. Never seen one of those go without some sort of SC code before. Expect the unexpected with Ricoh I guess.

Crazy! I know from messing around with color settings on my c751 the Cyan/Magenta will cover the whole page like a 40% transparency. Good to hear you figured it out!
