Anybody have any information regarding the life expectancy of replaceable parts on the C900. My issue is I beleive the service agent (This is a Ricoh agent, not Ricoh themselves) maybe not replacing parts when required (too save himself some money) and expecting the parts to last longer then they are meant too which in turn is affecting the quality coming off the machine.

it's different, ricoh (japan ) sets targets for the lifetime of parts, in reallity and with normal use these targets are not allways archived.
so techs have to replace parts before they pass their lifetime to keep customers happy.
a dealer will try to NOT replace those parts for obvious reasons.
So, not happy with quality, put the pressure on your dealer ......

I have a Ricoh Pro900C and I agree with hvdh. We dont have pay-per-copy in that machine but I have experience in that with other Ricoh machines.

If you have contract with Ricoh, they will changes that parts as soon as possible to maintain the quality in the machine (or at least, they should), but if you have the contract with a Ricoh agent, they will "squeeze" the parts before changing it just to save money.

If you want to know when a part should be changed, check the PM counters. Normally they are avaible if you introduce the combination: yellow button+107+C button. Maintain C pressed until it changes the view of the window from the copy window to the SP and PM counters window. In that screen, you'll see the target yield for all the parts of your machine and the current copies.

    Hope it helps to you.
