Hello forum. I recently got a used Aficio 820dn. It has never worked since I got it. Error code SC548 shows on the display. I have followed the manuals troubleshooting suggestion of testing for voltage off of wire leads 1 and 2 on the IH board. There seems to be no output voltage. What else should I do? Is there any other tests I can perform to the IH board or coil? Is there anywhere I can have the IH board tested and/or serviced? Or could this be caused by something else?

I found the cause of the SC548 error. The fuse rotation sensor wires were shorted. I repaired the wires, now i get error SC582. It's maddening!! What should I look for regarding this error? How would I short out the coil and what do you mean by "entr sp mode then off"? I did reset the alarms in the engine mode. Should I cut the power off immediately after resetting? I thank you for your assistance. I am quite new to this.

enter the sp mode then switch Off then On the power switch. IH coil is thermofuse so check the continuity of it....

    Thanks for the details

Hey thanks imaginemoko for your details. I will follow your suggestions. I have gone into the menu after puching the UP and DOWN arrows, then pushing OK button. Selected Engine, then scrolling thru to Reset SC and initiating the reset. But I have not been turning the power off immediately. I will try this. I will check the coil for continuity. I am still perplexed about why the SC582 code appeared after repairing the SC548 error.
