I am new in this forum and from Malaysia.

I am interested to look into starting a new line of digital printing and would like to know further on the busines prospects of it before investing in an actual machine.

Appreciate if anyone can share on the:-

1) Channels available to sell the end products (advertisers, publishers etc)

2) What is the best (most profitable) product to be marketed?

3) HP vs OCE vs Hiedelberg, which have the best investment ROI?

4) Near Future (2 years) Revolution that can be foreseen.

5) What will happen to the current web and sheetfed machines?

I don't know much about printing outside the US. Personally, I would be skeptical that this makes sense -- I would think in a low-labor-cost market it makes sense to use older offset machines which can be had for a real steal as they're replaced here and in other higher-labor-cost markets with more automated machines. Especially where you're talkign about a startup and don't have an existing workflow/client base that you need to keep up with on schedule.

Are supplies and durables available for digital presses in non-US countries at a huge discount compared to the high price we pay for these on newer machines?
