Canon USA "With Six You Get Eggroll"!
That's the first thing I thought of when I read the report from BLI, that Canon USA had won yet another "MFP line of the Year" Award. Kudos to Canon for winning six out of the last eight years. You guys are doing something right!

I'm not a member of BLI but I've gotten a few copies of their reports and I'm not sure they emphasize the things I care about as a printer. They seem to give a lot of points for things like the machine's display usability and not put enough weight on durability, service cost, quality after xx,xxx prints per durable.
I don't see canon as very strong this year compared to other years. They were the leaders around here with the clcs for a long time. Then the ircs came out and it seems most didn't put much stock in the 3200 series, but for us it really delivered well beyond our expectations, but they dropped behind on service cost and print quality with their next iteration of it. The imagepress quality looks great, but their c1 is quite pricey and slow compared to xerox - to me it seems like they're missing a key machine between 14 ppm and 60-70 ppm production right now. The imagepress seems impressive indeed, but I would have expected they were losing some ground this year to xerox, km, etc. as those seemed to have caught up this year and grabbed at the market a bit.
