SinoCorrugated South and SinoFoldingCarton 2012 a Resounding Success

On April 13, SinoCorrugated South and SinoFoldingCarton 2012 ended in Dongguan. The two exhibitions attracted 20,853 visitors over three days. Inside the exhibition halls, 609 industry-leading companies displayed the best corrugated and folding carton manufacturing equipment and packaging and printing consumables across 45,000 sqm. As well as the exhibits, the combined exhibitions featured a number of forums and complementary programs. In all, the dual event was China’s largest packaging and printing trade exhibition for 2012.

609 Exhibitors and 20,853 Visitors

Packing Machinery, Guangzhou Taixing, Qingdao Justu Packing Machinery, Qingdao Kaituo, Ekofa Flexo Packing Machinery, Topack, Weifang Century Machinery, Zhuzhou Sinovan Packing Technology, Guangzhou Keshenglong, Jinya, Aifeier, Changzhou Gongxin, Fuchu Shiko, STS Machinery, Tsai Yi Group, Wencheng Machinery, Dongguan Hongming, Meiguang, Chang’an Mingda, Chengming Machinery, Huizhou De Gang Machinery, Tokyo Wenhong, Lisheng Machinery, Henan Xinji, Han’s Yueming, Yutian Chengyuan, Tangshan Yuyin, Tangshan Yuanheng, Guangdong Magnolia, Shanghai Xinao Numerical Control, Wenzhou Keqiang and other well-known local and international manufacturers of corrugated box and folding carton production equipment and consumables.

These companies, and hundreds more, used the shows to highlight their most innovative, competitive products. Zhao Dexiang, General Manager of MK Machinery, said: “The combined exhibitions were an excellent marketing platform on which to vigorously promote our brand. The vast array of packaging, printing and post-print equipment on-site showed the great advances the industry is making. I understand that the events also attracted a record number of visitors, which was impressive. I was please to meet with so many of our existing customers and also engaged a number of potential clients.”

Support From Over 50 Associations, Greater Levels of Internationalization

A large number of high profile local and international trade associations attended SinoCorrugated South and SinoFoldingCarton 2012. This enhanced the brand profile and extended the reach of the exhibitions.

Over 50 local and international trade associations sent delegations to SinoCorrugated South and SinoFoldingCarton 2012. The feedback from these visiting groups was roundly positive. Among the delegations were groups from the Asian Corrugated Case Association, the Federation of Corrugated Box Manufacturers of India, the Indonesian Corrugated Cardboard Industries Association, the Guangdong Packaging Association’s Packaging & Printing Committee, and the Fujian Packaging Technology Association.

Many of the bodies confirmed their intent to continue to send delegations in coming years. Kinardo Ang, Chairman of the Indonesian Corrugated Cardboard Industries Association, said, “We sent nearly 100 buyers to SinoCorrugated South 2012 and were delighted with the massive scale of the event. Many of our delegates ordered equipment at the exhibition and reported great satisfaction with the show. We will certainly send another delegation in 2013.”

Value-Adding Programs and Lively Interaction

In addition to showcasing the leading manufacturing and processing equipment and consumables in the corrugated and folding carton industries, the organizers also hosted a variety of on-site activities for visitors. These covered the most topical industry development trends.

The Extended Corrugated Product Display Zone and Boutique Folding Carton•Cigarette Box Label Display Zone attracted throngs of visitors. Additionally, the Packaging Enterprise Transformation & Upgrade Summit, the End User Packaging & Purchase Demand Forum, the Electronic Monitoring Code Seminar, and four other technical sessions were equally popular among show participants.

Liu Shousheng, Secretary-General of the China Packaging Federation Paper Product Committee; Tan Junqiao, Honorary Advisor of the Printing and Printing Equipment Industries Association of China; Chen Xirong, Deputy Secretary-General of the China Packaging Federation Paper Products Committee attended the meetings and delivered speeches that were well received by the audience.

Of the concurrently run events, Hakki Erkamo of Finland Er-Pahuityo said: “This is my second time at SinoCorrugated South. I came to find new box making machines and to develop more Chinese contacts. During the show, I managed to engage a number of potential partners. It was a great exhibition. We don’t have a comparable event in Europe. I’ll be back again next year and will be sure to bring some colleagues with me.”

Exclusive Zones Create Tremendous Business Opportunities

SinoCorrugated South and SinoFoldingCarton 2012 debuted four dedicated zones: the Corrugating & Ancillary Equipment Zone, the Ink Zone, the Electronic Monitoring Code Zone and the Paper Zone. These proved popular and provided comprehensive demonstrations of the latest changes in technology and processes. The demonstrations helped visitors to understand new applications and developments. At next year’s shows, the organizers will again highlight new development trends in the industry, promote fresh zones and generate valuable business opportunities that are sure to drive the industry forward.

The successful 2012 exhibitions have laid a solid foundation for SinoCorrugated and SinoFoldingCarton 2013. The former will be held at Shanghai New International Expo Center from April 8 to April 11. SinoFoldingCarton 2013 will again be held at the Guangdong Modern International Exhibition Center in Dongguan next August. Already, the majority of exhibition booths for these two shows have been reserved.
