Hello everybody I have quiute a specific question and was unsure of where to ask so thought I would say hello and put my question here :)

I want to print plastic decals / transfers but we are having problems sourcing the correct printing process.

The printer would have to be able to print white as our design has white in the graphics.

    Can anybody offer some advice?

Also the size of these would be around 1cm square and will be detailed so some process's would not be suitable such as screen printing.

    Thanks in advance.

Try Uv litho reel fed printing. Just search google for plastic decals/transfer printing

In fact you can buy the correct paper and print them yourself if you have a laser printer

i would say a roland wide format but they are very expensive and you will need to have enough work for it to run daily, Hence why i dont have one and put these types of jobs out to a signmaker friend of mine who does.

For printing white graphics, ALPS printers could be a good choice. They use tape cartridges and white is one of them. But apparently, ALPS do not manufacture these printers anymore. However, there are still some used printers and tape cartridges for sale online.

You can also try one of the Roland printers, they are available in white and metallic ink configurations. They have VersaCAMM VS and VersaStudio models plus the Eco-SOL MAX ink available as an option for the SOLJET PRO III XC-540MT.

You would need a vinyl plotter, one which cuts would be a BIG plus. You need UV inks. It would be a high end printer.
