Akiyama bestech and hi ace

Dear Sir,
We have been running akiyama hi ace model and recently installed Bestech.
Can any operator who has run both hi ace and bestech , inform us that if its possible to run the same plates on both the machines. If yes what should be ideal gripper margin that can be used in both . We tried keeping 30mm but it didn't work on hi ace . Now machine man says think 40 mm will do .
Our bestech is with cocking facility .
Kindly advise as it would reduce our inventory cost .
