Xante Platemaker Questions

Does anyone know why Xante is no longer making the Xante Platemaker line? Is there a similar technology that replaced it? We are considering picking up a used Platemaker but we are concerned about getting it serviced. Are there companies that will service the Platemaker line? Anybody have experience with this? Also, does anyone know how it is getting replacement parts for these?

Hi, I have Xante Platemaker 4. Last time I checked, Fuser / PM Kit / Toner cartridge / feed rollers were available. This is still a B/W laser printer so good copier/printer tech should be able to service it. Besides even if they discontinued the printers, I believe law makes thew keep parts available for quiet some time - like 5 years or so.
