Our Itek 617s platemaker is giving an error "knife jam".... and the last few pages (33 to 42) of the "Operator's Guide" which came with the machine when we bought it are missing.
Does anyone with this platemaker know how to correct this error, or would anyone know where I can download the last section of the manual? If anyone has the last section of the manual and could scan and email it to me, that would be cool too.
    Thanks for your help.

I use to have a Itek 617s in the shop. I had this problem as well. Im not sure how i fixed it but i put a new roll of film in then did a major cleaning to the belt and everything else the film runs on then it worked fine. I would just try that first but it will be a reoccurring event from now on thats why we got rid of ours. I have a good repair shop thats will to try and help over the phone you should give them a call. United Graphic out of the twin cities in mn there number is (612)861-3876 Ask for Pat or Eric

The cutter mechanism needs lubricating, I had to put a few drops of light oil in there maybe once every two years. Its been a while since we now make plates via a poly DTP system, I hated the racks in the 617s, chrome rollers that would scratch easily.
