I just started at a new place of work and am trying to figure out how to take the center marks and File information from being put onto the laser plate. The press operator is having transfering issues with these marks.

The RIP was set up right so the marks were not showing but the system crashed and they had to reload the software. Since they did that the marks and file name are not coming off and I cannot find anywhere in the software to take it off. I have tried looking through the pdf manual for the CTP and the software but cannot located where to do this at.

I am processing the files through InDesign directly to the PPD and DO NOT have any marks set through there.

Thank you very much for any help, even if the only answer is to re-install the software.

Anyone have any ideas on this?? It is an ABDick RIP System. 2430. Really need to get those center marks and file info off the laser plate. We are getting transfer onto the print from this even when the press guy erases them off the plate.

Hi GStreeter, I can easier talk you through this but it is not a big deal to do as I don't know your experience level with the RIP. I'm a former trainer on these machines so I'm quite knowledgeable on them. Send me an email at vnay1@juno.com with your contact info and I can call you.
