Help please, open rip problems

Just got a ripit speedsetter 300 and came with a very slow computer with open rip symphony. no install discs either.
after taking the computer to a tech to speed it up, now I cannot open the open rip program as it has mysteriously lost its authentication number.
when it was running it had a problem with constantly feeding film without cutting it, although the software set length was 19"
anyone else own one of these and can help?
