    Hi,

we are running small ab dick and ryobi 1 color presses with metal plates. What would we need to invest to use the poly plates with a computer?

We have computers, so would we just need to purchase a printer and the associated chemicals? Does the water system need to be changed, or just a different solution?

    thanks,
    Stan

I believe the plate developer and the water mix so yes the whole mixture does have to be drained and cleaned out occasionally.

We run %100 poly plates for all of our jobs. With any plate system that requires chemistry (Developer/Stabilizer/Water) you have to change the chemicals. Of course it depends on your processor and how many plates you are processing a day. We change our chemicals out just about every two weeks. With this you have to dispose of the chemicals properly and look at the additional expense of the chemicals. I would lean towards a "chemistry free system" if i were you.
