Our image setter has been jamming in a way I haven't been able to diagnose.

-The media won't proceed any farther than the knife in the drum. The RIP generates error code #23, indicating the conveyor entrance sensor has timed out.
-This jam occurs only on the SECOND plate produced when the machine is first activated for the day. The material which was queued up in the drum from the previous time the machine was operated will produce a usable plate, but the second plate will jam at the knife.
-After removing the cassette, cutting the media, clearing the drum and reloading the cassette, the platemaker will resume functioning properly.
-The media removed from the drum always has residue marks that match the location and spacing of the feed rollers directly beneath the media cassette. This plate would have been waiting in the rollers for several days (since the last operation).

Can anyone offer any suggestions for how to restore the medias movement through the knife?

    Hi Sir:
    You must test
    1) The belt
    2) The motor
    3) The knife
    4) And make some adjustment

any recommendations want to purchase new or reliable DPM equipment, my past experience was with itek paper plates back in the day. What should I know before sinking money for basic Line and halftone reproduction on AB dick duplicating equipment. Are there any MORE recent methods that I should look into first
    THANKS FOR ANY ADVICE
