I am considering purchasing a new printer and am not sure which of the 2 to go for, it seems quite tricky.
basically looking for a printer that creates large volume, low cost of production, cost efficient on consumables yet high on quality. able to take greater length x width, plus something that takes on 400gsm comfortably.
So far I have spoken to sales personnel for each, who sell well, but would really like to hear from someone who may have experience with both/either.
    Thanks.

Also, anything to say on the OCE 2344 Wideformat color printer?
    Thanks.

Oce CS665 and Konica Minolta 6501 are the same printers produced by Konicaminolta. I've OCE CS550, because in my country Oce has lower service prices then Konicaminolta.
But in 2010 Canon buy(ed) Oce, so Oce will finish the distribution of the Konica branded products in some months, and will finish the service of the products in some years...

    I ran a KMc6501 for quite a while. Its a great machine!
However it cannot do 400GSM. The heaviest it could run is 100# cover or 300GSM. You could get away with 120# (even though its not rated for it) but nothing more than that.

Im not too familiar with the Oce model...
