Canon iPF5100

I have a Canon iPF5000 printer, which is no longer working. I have two unused Canon PF-01 print heads. I was thinking about buying a used Canon iPF5100 printer. I was told by Large format printer salesperson, that unused Canon PF-01 print heads cannot be used in Canon iPF5100 printers. In fact was told, that the Canon PF-01 print heads cannot be used in any Canon iPF100 series printer. Meaning the Canon iPF5100, iPF6100, or iPF8100 printers. Although I have seen post in other forums, that seem to say users have been able to put the Canon PF-03 print head into a Canon iPF5100 printer. Which means the Canon PF-03, is backwards compatible, but the Canon PF-01 is not forward compatible. Has anyone been able to use Canon PF-01 print head in a Canon iPF5100, iPF6100, or iPF8100 printer?
