WE have had a Roland 304 for about 7 years. It is a 23 x 29 2/2 perfector. It is an excellent printing press. We have ad some electronic problems that I have ended up diagnosing myself, usually replacing a board. Overall though it has been a very reliable press, very durable. I would purchase another one.

Why not get the best. I can offer either Heidelberg 74 four color for very competitive price. What year are you looking for and how automated?

    Hi,
Thanks for your reply, I love Rolands, but here in Costa Rica thereĀ“s no service. Do you think it is a problem? Is the machine a headache, or is better than heidelberg and komori?

    Regards,
    Manuel

I have Run a 94 roland 300 23 x 29 with coater and a 98 roland 300 with aftermarket U.V. coating.. The rolands have alot of electrical problems, usually minor if you know what your doing. The older roland's surge protector must have sucked because everytime we would get a power surge that press would blow a fuse, while the newer roland would have no problem. Read about the Roland's metering roller motors problems at www.USAPressmen.com . Another issue with the rolands is the transfer cylinders need to be scrubbed down every day due to built ink or it will start marking on your sheets. Unless you are running U.V. inks, they wont build up on the transfer cylinders.

Right now I am running a 1988 komori lithrone... its a workhorse and will last if taken care of.
