    Hello

I need some help with a cyl. regester problem, My 5th. unit will not move on the console around the cyl. it will however move side to side. both movements are gear driven with small chains.
My first thought was maybe a bad printed circuit card ,switched 6th. unit card to the 5th. unit
still no movement around cyl. I was wondering if there are two separate motors for movements?can't see the motor its behind the gears in a metal box.

    Thanks in advance

    LUCKY-N-KY.

When you mean register, do you mean plate register? The R300 uses small motors to move the plate laterally and circumferentially, but the cylinder does not move. For that you have to loosen the cylinder bolts and inch around to zero. But this is only if your register is way out. Other than that you can do a zero register of the plate motors. One thing to check is that the plastic stick on packing is not too worn or scuffed as this puts a strain on the motors as the plate doesn't move freely over the cylinder surface. You may have to change the plate packing, but this is a painful job but worthwhile. Also check that the packing is not damaged on the front or tail edge again making the plate restricted in movement.
