    Though we all use different kind of presses, most of the input for the ripping process is the same, which on digital presses is PDF. What kind of tools u use to get the right imposition?!

    Post it here, share software and experiences. :)

    Kevin

    i'll kick-off myself;

    Desktop; all mac stations (which is a standard imo)
    Preflight software; Enfocus pitstop server, not intergrated in the workflow (should do that though)
    Workflow for imposition; Xerox FreeFlow Production manager that outputs PDF - which then gets moved to a HP Production Manager RIP. And a Igen3 Press.

    Other useful prepress software;
    Gelatin downloadable in the mac appstore
    "Gelatin automatically merges PDF files. Drag and drop your files to the app, it takes care of the rest. Easy, fast, beautiful ... it's just perfect!"
    http://itunes.apple.com/nl/app/gelatin/id468374949?mt=12

    And some adobe plugins;
    Enfocus Pitstop Professional
    Quite imposing plus 2
    Quite a box of tricks

    I also use macs here as well. I think it’s a personal preference though, I’ve worked with them since I was in high school, so I just lean that way. Thanks for the information about Gelatin though, I actually missed that app and it sounds like it’s pretty convenient.
