What's the easiest way to force select pages of a PDF file from rich black objects to straight K? I know some RIP drivers provide this option, but my fiery does not so I either have to manually turn the pages and print one side color, one bw to the driver or find a way to easily modify them in the pdf itself so I can duplex or booklet print and not get clicked color for the "bw" sides because of the rich black objects that should be straight black.

Enfocus Pitstop Professional (Acrobat plugin) has this option.

Indeed, you can do it manually or create an action list that will search for a color (e.g. 100 K, 20 C) or a color range and change it to 100 K

    Cheers,

What Fiery are you using?????? My advice would be if you doing alot of this type of work is to get your Fiery updated......the update should pay itself off in terms of saving you time and also you can then do more of this type of work because your operation then becomes streamlines!!! Problem solved!!! Enfocus Pitstop Pro has an option to globally change colours in your pdf which would be my first option. It all depends how much money you got to spend.
