    HEEEEEELPPPP PLEEEASE!!!!!!...

My printout is the wrong colours.

I have tried converting to: Adobe RGB (1998) and sRGB with no luck. The first is grey when it should be pink. Second orange.

Printer is set to allow the application to manage colour. Method: Perpetual.

I have also sent to print with the setting printer management of colours and changed them both between Adobe RGB and SRGB..........

    I am using HP Z2100...

Anybody know how to conquer this?

    Thanks

In photoshop when I go to Image --> Mode --> Assign Profile it brings up a box with 3 options:

Do not colour manage this document
    Assign working RGB: sRGB XXXXXX
Assign Profile: [DropDownList Option: HP Fine Arts Materials: Canvas]

When I click the third option it shows whats printing out whereas option 2 is how it should be.

    Does this help?

I run Illustrator for both print applications and web design work. Did you try using a CMYK color format? RGB is typically used for web based application. Though it is odd you are getting prints of a different color. Let me know if this helps.

I tried changing between the RGB & CMYK also.

It has to be soemthign to do with the colour profile somewhere. Even though I selected the application manages colour and sent and checked this when sending to print - its like the printer ignores it and changes profile!

The next question I have, what file type are you saving the file as? If you haven't already, try saving the file as a PDF

Yes, select "save as" and scroll down to "Photoshop PDF" I run version CS4. Let me know if this helps.

    Still comes out the same.

Its like the printer has one profile, the computer has the sRGB which has perfect colours - send to print telling printer to let application manage - then it ignores!

    ARGHH

I would recommend calling HP directly. They see these types of issues everyday, and hopefully you can get a quick response.

Will maybe need to do that in the morning. They probably finish at 5!

Need to sort the damn issue out tonight though!!!!!!! ITS A NIGHTMARE!!!!!!!

It was working fine - then photoshop starting hanging on load - I then had to delete some preference files so it would re-create them at startup and now somethings changed!!! ARGHHHHH

I even sent it from a different computer and the same outcome!! Is has to be a setting within the printer itself or something... maybe there is a way of formatting it or somethign to remove whatever profiles it seems to have created!?

RGB is used for digital wide format printers. You will get a much larger range of color.

RGB is what i'm printing in. The point I was making was option 3 was the same colour as the output whereas option two the actual colour scheme.

I select option 2 but when printing it comes out different - it comes out as if I have selected option 3.

Its a real pain in the arse!!!!!!!!! I don't know what to do now..

Hi Tony, if you are using photoshop to print. You need to select the profile of the paper you are using in your Printer. Basically the profile you selected when you loaded the paper. You will also need to select in the printer options allow software to manage colors and make sure that photoshop is set to use the profiles it needs. Make a small sample like that and see what happens.

    I go to:

Printers & Deviced --> Customise Printer --> General Tab --> Colour management: Application managed colours

    I have also gone to:

Printers & Deviced --> Customise Printer --> Colour Management --> clicked color management button --> from that menu selected Printer: HP DesignJet Z2100 44in Photo (the printer in question) --> selected 'use my settings for this devide' and addedd sRGB to the ICC profile.
The above I have tried in manual and automatic. By selecting the option and not having the option selected.

    The paper types tried:
    Fine arts materials-->canvas
    Proofing paper-->HP SG proofing paper

    Same result.

When I send to print I check its still set to allow application to manage colour.

    Same result.

I have also tried printer manage colour and selected the profile...

.. guess what? no luck :(

I went on to try and send from a different computer.

    Same result.

It has to be printer related .... but I cant figure out what!!

Any more advise to try would be greatly appreciated....

In Photoshop when you go to print. Under color handling: Photoshop manages color. Under Color Profile: Select the paper you have in the printer.

On your printer go to the menu and select print color diagnostic. Could be one of your printheads are not firing.

My first thought also. Perfect test print. No streaking. No mis-colour. Exactly as you would expect. Most was replaced within the last couple of weeks anyway!
