Hi and may i say hello to one and all as this is my first post.

My problem is this, i am in the process of buying the Canon IPF6100
Can some one please tell me how to temporarily turn off the ink level setting as
the GY ink has just ran out so it wont let me get a test print. The printer is immaculate but i dont want to shell out for it, get it home and there be something else thats wrong, i just want to get a test print, buy it if its all good and replace the empty GY cartridge. Any help would be most appreciated.

Start the machine in service mode - service menu - and look for a menu that says ink check - change that to no, restart and that's it. The downside of this is that the printer will ask you about the ink level each time you print something. Simply press OK and that's it
