    digital printer question

IKON offers a machine produced by KONICA MINOLTA called the CPP550.
How does it differ from the also offered by IKON BP550?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think there is any difference in the engine. The different badges are only marketing and the RIP its configured with, fiery on the back or external on a stand, etc.

It's a bit of a moot point now as Ikon is all-ricoh now and no longer leasing cpp or bp konica minoltas as far as I know, unless they're re-leasing some used equipment or you're buying an off-lease machine?

I agree, Ikon is going completely Ricoh, and from what Im hearing from their service techs. the 650s will run circles around the Ricohs. The CPP and BPP prefixes are representative of their finishing equipment also. You might want to contact Konica Minolta directly, they might be able to give you service support just as good if not better than Ikon. Im positive their Fiery or Creo config. is better! I learned that the hard way
