    Hi,

I am trying to print a solid block of dark purple with my printer. It is ok for so many prints in terms of quality deteriates and the block of purple becomes mottled.

Any advice on settings on the printer to prevent this?.

its a toner based printer and the drums can only take so much toner. in my opinion not alot you can do about it. i dont think these machines can pull a full A4 solid for more than 6 sheets before the quality diminishes, you can hawever try printing 5 at a time and then another 5 but you will soon wear out the drums and probably get an error message on the cyan if developer falls below 5%. it will cost you a new drum or 2. some one on here may say im wrong, but in my honest opinion if i need solids more than a4 and more than 60 sheets i litho them
