KM8000? Word on the street is we are getting one. What are you thoughts on the Machin

    I am a Xeorox iGen operator and I guess we are getting a KM8000 to add to our shop. I will be running this as well.

    What digital front end does this machine use?

    Is it a quality machine or is it down a lot?

    I've heard that it is a bear to service, the paper path is overly convoluted and not overly easy to clear jams etc. On the other hand it can run extry heavy stocks (for a digital press) and produces great looking output.

    Km 8000

    You probably already have the KM 8000, but it will run both Fiery and Creo. I think it is a very good digital press. The color is very consistent and it handles heavier stock.
