install Magicolor 5430DL under windows 8

Hi there. I found a 64bit driver for the above printer specifically for running under Windows 8 attached to a network with a specific IP number. However, no matter which driver I install (even Vista 64bit), the software always tells me I am missing different ocx files. I installed the first one, then it is missing the MSCOMTL.OCX. When I install it, Windows says it is not compatible. However, there is non MSCOMCTL.OCX for 64bit to be found. Why can't the install disk supply those files?
Another driver install disk I found starts out with the option of local or network. When I click network, it just shows all the different PCs on the network, not the printers. What good does that do? Konica-Minolta is so unlike any other printer configuration I have worked with.
Or is there a way out of this predicament? Thanks in advance for your help.
