I'm having trouble when printing on Nekoosa gloss paper. Patches of toner are peeling off the page in sheets during the print process (and often resticking several inches farther down the page). Has anyone seen similar problems? Any suggestions?

The problem seems to be getting worse. I'm now seeing it on plain (uncoated) card stock. Looks like my brand new printer is about to get its first service call, just four days in....

Could be your transfer voltage. or more likely the Fuser temperature. Make sure you have the proper setting fir the stock your running.
No worries though, new installs can have issues. I have my New Canon IP under maintenance as we speak.

Well, Konica Minolta never got back to me on my email, so I called, and the problem turned out to be simple: either the manual is unclear about choosing paper types or I misread it. Either way, it's different from what I would expect in a Mac printer.

The paper type has to be simultaneously selected both on the printer's front panel and in the driver, or else it ignores you and treats it as plain paper. Either that or it might have been the difference between selecting "Thick 2" (which they told me to do) and "Thick 3" (which I had tried previously).

Either way, the paper moved through the printer about half as fast as it had ever moved in previous print passes, and fusing worked correctly. It's a bizarre quirk, but at least it's a trivially worked around bizarre quirk. :)

    Glad it's been resolved.

My canon has a similar issue with its Command Work Station vs. fiery paper catalog. the paper setting you choose from the new command workstation will always override what's been registered to the paper tray. Never had that issue with the old Fiery/CWS. Although with the old system i had to set the paper setting on the control panel even if both sources matched.

Now i can send 120# cover information for a tray that's registered for 100# Text and have my text weight stock crispy and well done. Or in your case, powdery and poorly fused..
