I'm looking at buying a Konica Minolta C5501, but I'm concerned that our supplier is quoting a high price because we already have KM equipment. I'm hoping some kind person can give me an idea of what we should expect to pay for this machine. We'd be looking to get it with the FS-607 Booklet Finisher.

I'm in the UK but a price any currency would at least give me some idea of a fair price.

    Thanks

Did you ever get this machine? I am thinking of one as well and would like to hear user experiences

Just had a quote for a KM5501 to replace our Imagepress and be quoted around £20K+vat with internal fiery.
    Thanks

I would say around $48-55,000 USD probably a bit less.

Steve, we delayed the decision in the end, we have stuck with our C451 a little longer, but we will be replacing it later in the year. As well as the C5501, we've been looking at the Xerox ColorCube 9203 which offers cheaper click costs for pages with small amounts of colour. Not sure about the reliability/longevity at our volumes though.

Thanks, PWD, that's very helpful, and much better than we've been quoted. We were originally quoted about £48K. Then we were offered a 'cancelled order' machine at £28K and recently we've been offered an ex-display model for £23K. We've also been offered a second-hand unit for £13K.

Hoopera's price of $48 USD works out at about £30K GBP, thanks Hoopera.

With the introduction of the konica minolta 6000, 7000 and 8000 machines prices for second user and demo c5501 and c6501 machines are extremely competitive at the moment. Just shop around
