C454e charges everything as color!

Just got a c454e. I fi run only color-no problem. If I run b/w with grayscale checked it charges for b/w. When I have a doc that is a booklet. The cover is color and the pages are b/w, the machine counts everything as colorr! The doc is saved as a quarkPDF. This never happened with my 5180 cannon copier. Any ideas? My local konica people have no idea what to do. Thanks!

I already seen that the original document was created with RGB's for the black, that mean the black is printed with cmyk on the machine. My customer did booklet like you and after founding that information, he change that config in the document and only the cover page was charge as color, all the others was pure black (not composite).
