    Greetings,

I was wondering if it was possible to print an image without any borders (edge to edge) on a Konica Minolta Bizhub C652? From what little I'm able to gather from internet searches it sounds like this kind of printing is a bit of a big deal and only very specific ones can handle it? Still, I'd like to get a more solid answer for this particular printer. If it is possible, can you tell me how? I've gone through all the options in all the places and can't seem to find anything that will work.
Also, I'm on a Windows 7x64 machine if that helps.

    Thanks for any advice!
    Jason

Hi Jason, no it would not be possible to do just as it would be impossible to do on any other toner based printer.
#1 Reason - as imaged to the leading edge page would go trough the fuser, Toner while being fused (melted on to the paper's surface) momentarily become goovy/sticky stuff and as it reaches full temperature and cools down it comes out the way you see it, now, at that point if you have toner right on the edge it will stick to the upper fuser roller (teflon-shmeflon, does not matter what it coated with) and will wrap around of it, yes, not a single page will come out.
#2 As we all know, digital printing is not precise science, not in the real life anyway, i.e. a page bounce +/- 1mm is not uncommon hopefully less but it is moving, may be a hairline or two if you lucky but it does, so imaging edge to edge will result in toner droppings in transfer are and everywhere after that, then every other page after will pick up all sh^& left after previous - use your imagination about what will happen.
That is why all copier/printer manufacturers implemented having a 0.2-0.25 inch void around the edges.
If you need to image 12x18 full bleed, bizhub C6501 and higher models plus many other machines can throughput 13x19 to give you just that.

Thanks! That really helps! :) Now one last question: we've noticed that the border is not uniform around the page. The top part of the page has a bit of a thicker border than the other three sides. I assume it's the same as what you said above but just wanted to be sure. Thanks so much for your response!

Well, it is simply could be for the reason that your image is not perfectly centered but I noticed that different machines respond in different way to the request to print the image beyond imagible area. Safest practice is to use scale to fit command or if not possible, have your machine adjusted to prinscentered and always leave 1/4" border around the edges. I get away with leaving 1/4" on my konica Minolta Box hun C65 HC
